Mathilda’s Cocktail Bar & Kitchen has opened its doors to guests in Kadıköy, the heart of Istanbul, in February 2019.

Mathilda, with its unique style, has been aiming to make guests reinterpret all of their choices, from the cocktails they drink to the food they taste, by creating a difference in the wide spectrum of the food and beverage industry.

Mathilda believes that the cocktail world is a treasure waiting to be discovered, and has been enjoying guiding its guests in this mystical discovery.

Being aware that “the sky is the limit in this journey”, it continues to offer unique experiences to its guests.

Co-founder of Mathilda’s Cocktail Bar & Kitchen and award-winning bartender Vedat Akar worked as a bar coordinator at KAI within Mandarin Oriental Bodrum after many years at Frankie Istanbul.

Vedat Akar founded Mathilda’s Cocktail Bar & Kitchen with the vision of creating a place that reflects his professional experience, achievements, and passion for mixology.

With an innovative perspective and a close eye on evolving trends, he continues to contribute to the industry by combining creativity, hospitality, and modern cocktail culture.

Co-Founder

Co-founder of Mathilda’s Cocktail Bar & Kitchen, Murat Güney worked for many years as an operations manager and bar coordinator at Maçakızı, Frankie Istanbul, and the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group.

After serving as an operations manager within the Emirgan Group in 2019, Murat Güney founded his own venue with the vision of bringing together his years of gastronomic experience and distinctive style to create value within the industry.

As Mathilda’s, we set out on this journey with a passion for great cocktails and carefully curated music. Our signature cocktails are accompanied by original selections ranging from lounge to house music, thoughtfully prepared by local DJs.

On weekdays, nostalgic pop, funk, and disco tracks from the 70s and 2000s shape the atmosphere, while weekends evolve into energetic nights filled with house and electronic sounds.
